Dr. Larry Viterna is the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Nautica Windpower LLC who has developed and patented a new class of floating offshore wind turbine aimed at reducing system weight and installation costs.
Nautica Windpower’s expertise includes personnel who supported the NASA program that created the world’s first multi-megawatt wind turbines in 1979 followed by the 4-megawatt WTS-4 that held the world power record for over 20 years.
